Poppy Flower Seeds - Green Up the Smallest of Spaces

There are a tremendous number of uses for poppy flower seeds and whether you have a huge garden or a tiny urban space you will always be able to find a small spot for these stunning plants to grow in. By simply looking around your home you'll discover all sorts of places that could use a little greening up, whether it's a windowsill or a thin strip of earth by your drive. And because poppy flower seeds are not only easy to grow but very versatile in their growing conditions, you'll find that many places that you believed to be inhospitable for plants will actually be ideal.

If you've got confined spaces which you want to brighten up then some of the best poppies to use are annual varieties such as Papaver somniferum, Papaver laciniatum or California poppies. seeds online Annual poppies in particular are very easy to grow because, due to their short lifespan, plants will take every opportunity that they can to succeed and flower. Their biology drives them towards reproduction and producing seeds, resulting in plants striving to make as many flowers as they possibly can. Windowsills are the obvious place for you to brighten up, and if you want a cascade of color which will last throughout the season all you have to do is plant a few dozen poppy flower seeds and you'll soon have added natural color to your home. But you don't even need a windowsill to take advantage of poppies, and you can easily grow plants by utilizing features such as window boxes or hanging baskets which can be attached directly to walls. syngenta products For all of these features it is best to use some of the smaller poppy varieties such as California poppies. These will fill out pots and containers nicely without growing too tall and obstructing windows. And with a huge range of dazzling colors you'll be able to create any color scheme you wish.

You don't have to stick to windowsills or hanging baskets in doorways though, and if you have a small strip of earth at the front of your house it is ideal for planting poppies in. Perhaps there is a tiny graveled area between your door and drive, or the path underneath your window is looking a little barren. Using taller species of poppy such as Papaver laciniatum will look great here, adding a little interest to the area with their height whilst also providing colorful blooms. Again, you don't have to have actual ground to plant into as these poppies will also thrive in containers, and you can use long troughs or round tubs to create a variety of stunning features.

So, if you've got a space at home which could do with a little brightening then your first thought should be to put in some poppies. They are a wonderful and iconic flower for many, will grow easily and quickly, and will green up just about any space you can imagine.
